General Recital Info


  • Recital is Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Lincoln-Sudbury High School.
  • No pictures or videos during recital.
  • DVD’s of the performance are available to order.
  • Doors will open to the auditorium for families/guests 30 minutes prior to show time.


  • Children must wear their designated costumes along with the following items that you should purchase if you do not already have on hand:
  • Hip-Hop (boys and girls):  Black classic Converse All-Stars or Converse-style sneakers (low).  Can be purchased at Target or Payless
  • Jazz: Footed or convertible suntan tights, any brand. Tan jazz shoes. 
  • Contemporary:  No tights. Tan foot "undies"
  • Bumblin’ Ballerina:  Ballet pink tights, ballet shoes
  • Ballet/Tap Combo:  Suntan tights, black tap shoes
  • Ballet: Footed or convertible ballet pink tights, any brand. Pink ballet shoes.
  • Acrobatics: Bare feet -- No tights, no shoes
  • Any bras or sports bras worn should be nude and have clear straps, if straps show.
  • For ballet, girls should have hair in buns with hair nets.  For all other classes, girls should have hair pulled back in a tight, slick ponytail, either with a part on their left (swept right) or straight back. 
  • “Stage” makeup for girls: foundation/powder/bronzer, blush, lipstick, brown eye shadow, black eye liner and black mascara. 

Food and Drink

  • No food or drinks permitted in the auditorium.
  • Students may have snacks in the backstage waiting area. Please have students bring snacks with them. We will not provide.
  • Please pack food items that will not stain costumes and/or pack a large t-shirt or sweatshirt to protect costume while child is eating.

Backstage Helpers

  • We are seeking parents or older siblings (16 or older) who would be willing to help coordinate children backstage.
  • Helpers would be able to go into the auditorium to watch their children’s/siblings’ performances but would be backstage for the other performances.
