Averi Shipman

Averi Shipman of Colorado, started dance at the ripe age of four years old. She trained competitively for 15 years, and began teaching and assisting at the age of 12. Dancing and teaching competitively, grew her love for the process of what it takes to create a masterpiece. During her senior year of high school, Averi became the captain, club leader, and head choreographer of her high school dance team. As well as, the assistant studio director at Anita McCoy Dance Studio. She completed the Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop in 2023. Furthermore, she spent time in a dance major program at Pikes Peak State College, before moving to Massachusetts to train at the CLI Conservatory under Teddy Forance. Where she trained and studied in all styles of dance, with some of the industries top choreographers. She has received many “Entertainment” and “Choreographic” awards for her work, as well as the opportunity to perform her own work at the New Amsterdam Theatre in New York City, for Dance The World Broadway. One of Averi’s most favorite moments while teaching is when the movement and passion connect, and you get to see the light behind the students eyes shine so brightly. More specifically, the fact that everyone’s light shines so differently! When Averi is not dancing, you can find her exploring the outdoors and getting her hands dirty! Hiking, biking, snowboarding, you name it! She also enjoys other forms of art like sewing, and painting!
